Climate Capital: What made you want to solve this problem?
Andre: Ali builds the best nanomolecular polymer structures in the world and we saw an opportunity in a space that had a massive existing market and massive growth.
Climate Capital: What are you building?
Andre: Hydrogen Separation Membranes - in other words, an industrial filter for big industrial companies that use hydrogen. We can reduce the cost of numerous h2 related technologies by avoiding pre-treatment steps and handling tough gasses to separate.
Climate Capital: What is next?
Andre: We've raised $5m to build a factory in Melbourne to produce industrial-grade products.
Now we're shipping the first units of the products to clients and we need to scale up the quantity significantly!
Climate Capital: How do you foster growth and career development for your employees?
Andre: Respect, excitement, transparency. Always share your excitement and why you are on a great mission, always be genuine, and always respect people, even if they don't take the path you want.
Climate Capital: What are the key challenges as you scale your company?
Andre: Manufacturing logistics is tough, moving bottlenecks is difficult with hardware. Also just how big the market is.
Climate Capital: What have you learned that you want to share with other founders?
Andre: Trust your gut. It is surprisingly right very often. When others doubt you but you have more information, they are wrong, don't let them convince you otherwise unless they have good logical arguments.
Climate Capital: How can the broader climate community help you on your mission?
Andre: Help fundraise! That's always the most important thing or if you know industrial hydrogen companies. Intro!
